You've been dreaming of your Tanzanian safari for so long and the day when it begins has finally arrived. We'll greet you, give you a quick rundown on what happens next and answer your questions. Then we'll take you out to discover what this incredible country has to offer.

Busy Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania and most travelers pass through at some stage. Whether you’re on your way out on safari or here for a little longer, you’ll catch a glimpse of streets filled with energy and color.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants – baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that’s just the beginning. Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, and cheetahs and leopards are around, too. And it’s impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Your backdrop for all of this is one of the prettiest in northern Tanzania, with a memorable mix of river woodland, open plains and rolling hills. And some vantage points to take it all in.

Explore fantastic Tarangire on a guided game drive that will take you out among the baobab trees to look for lions, elephants and more.

Day 4 to 6

Serengeti National Park

You’ll get to know the Serengeti and its colorful cast of characters even better with another day immersed in its wild beauty.

Activity Day 4

You'll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Tarangire National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you'll hopefully see many animals.

Activity Day 5

You'll get to know Serengeti National Park in the best possible way on a guided game drive. Led by an expert guide, you'll drive out across the park's famous savannahs to look for the incredible wildlife (big cats, elephants and more) that calls the park home.

Activity Day 6

Come and see the best of Serengeti National Park as we take you out on a guided game drive. It really is a terrific way to feel a part of Africa with the wind in your hair as we drive you around to look for animals.

Serengeti Pure Tented Camp

The nicely designed safari tents at Serengeti Pure Tented Camp have wood floors and classic safari furnishings that are comfortable and stylish. The central Serengeti location means you'll see lots of wildlife when you stay here. Savannah grasslands, acacia trees, good service and a dining tent are all part of the experience at this well-run place.

Day 7

Ngorongoro Crater

Today you’ll visit Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa, a place where you’ll experience otherworldly beauty with extraordinary wildlife. Watch as, from above, morning mist rolls up and over the crater rim, and notice how the steep walls suggest a place unlike any other. Down below on the crater floor, explore a lost world preserved in a state of pristine isolation, one that shelters lions and hyenas, elephants and black rhinos, flamingos and golden jackals. There are also forests, hippo-filled lakes, a salt pan and hyena dens, and you’ll never lose the sense that you’ve stumbled into a safari theme park where everything’s wild.

Activity Day 7

Your day in and around Ngorongoro Crater could just be one of the most memorable of your whole safari. You’ll explore the crater rim and then drive down onto the crater floor, where the critically endangered black rhinos are the stars of an astonishing wildlife show. You’ll almost certainly see large-tusked elephants, at least one of the Ngorongoro’s four lion prides, and wandering clans of spotted hyenas. It also just happens to be one of Africa’s most beautiful corners, a hidden world where you’ll be surrounded by steep, deep-green crater walls, a salt lake, forests and hippo-filled waterways.

Day 8 to 11

Zanzibar Island

Relax at the beautiful Gabi Beach (Northeast). This is one of the best beaches on the island with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful white sandy beaches with turquoise water that gently rolls onto the beach. You can spend the entire day at the beach since the beaches in this northern-east part of the island are not as tidal.

Activity Day 8

A spice tour is a fantastic opportunity to experience the sensory pleasures of Zanzibar's world-famous cloves and other spices.

Activity Day 9

Join us for a city tour of Zanzibar Stone Town. Wandering through the atmospheric alleys, you'll pass several handsome old buildings and learn much about the town's long history.

Activity Day 10

You can expect to see a dazzling variety of colorful reef fish on a snorkeling trip to the shallow coral gardens off Mnemba Island.

Activity Day 11

Highlights of a guided walk through Jozani Forest include a mangrove boardwalk and habituated troops of the Zanzibar red colobus monkey.
