This 10-Day Tanzania Acidic Lakes Safari will take you to three wildlife areas in Tanzania with incredible game viewing and awesome landscape. By start with Tarangire and witness big groups of Elephants and ancient Baobab trees. Then down to the hauntingly gorgeous Lake Natron, Serengeti National Park known as endless plains home to great migration and high chance to witness big cats, then to Ngorongoro Crater, Africa for illusive Big5 then Hadzabe Bush People as they go hunting & gathering.

Arusha

You've been dreaming of your Tanzanian safari for so long and the day when it begins has finally arrived. We'll greet you, give you a quick rundown on what happens next and answer your questions. Then we'll take you out to discover what this incredible country has to offer.

Spend some time in Arusha, both the gateway city for most safaris in northern Tanzania and a fascinating place to explore. Enjoy good restaurants, streets filled with energy and so many snapshots of vibrant Tanzanian city life. It’s everything you look for in an urban pit stop.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Wherever you go in Tarangire National Park, you’ll come across the park’s famous and larger-than-life baobab trees and elephants. These are the twin elements that give this park so much personality. There is, of course, so much more. We don’t just mean the huge populations of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras. Or the rugged landscape of rocky hills and rivers, swamps and savannah plains. You also have an excellent chance of seeing lions here – Tarangire is a real lion stronghold – and keep an eye out for leopards and cheetahs as well.

Transfer by Road, Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You'll be going on a guided game drive to look for Tarangire's lions, elephants, cheetahs and more. It's one of the best places to go looking for animals in northern Tanzania.

Day 3

Lake Manyara National Park

You're going to love Lake Manyara National Park because it promises experiences you just can't get elsewhere. For example, this is one of the most compact parks in Tanzania's north: the park consists of a narrow strip of forest shadowed by vast Lake Manyara on one side and the cliffs of the Rift Valley escarpment on the other. The park is known for its large elephant and baboon populations, and part of the excitement of visiting here is never quite knowing when you're going to come face-to-face with an elephant. And then there are the tree-climbing lions for which the park is famous: this is one of very few places in Africa where lions routinely climb (and spend much of their time up in) trees.

You’ll love our canoe safaris, which are one of the best ways to experience Lake Natron. You might even discover new birds and animals as you go.

Now here's something to look forward to: a walking safari in Lake Natron. This means leaving behind your vehicle and exploring on foot. You'll be safe, even as you feel really close to the animals.
Your safari takes on a whole new perspective when you join us to go canoeing in Lake Natron. It’s a unique experience, one that you’ll never forget.

Close to Lake Natron and with stirring views of Ol Doinyo Lengai, Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge has a wonderful location. The rooms here have rustic wooden furniture, and there are some simple tents with futon mattresses as well. You'll get to know Serengeti National Park in the best possible way on a guided game drive. Led by an expert guide, you'll drive out across the park's famous savannahs to look for the incredible wildlife (big cats, elephants and more) that calls the park home.
You'll be joining us in Serengeti National Park for a guided game drive. It's a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came so far to see.

Join us for a picnic in Serengeti National Park, where you get to eat great food while surrounded by nature.

You'll be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Serengeti National Park when we take you on a guided game drive. This is the best thing about many safaris, and you'll hopefully see many animals.

Deep in the heart of the Serengeti, enjoy the savannah views, acacia trees and abundant wildlife at Tukaone Serengeti Camps. The tents have vivid safari colors and prints, not to mention private toilets and showers in every tent. You'll eat well in the dining tent, and you can admire the stars and listen for lions in the night. Much of the camp runs on solar power.

There's always more to discover in the Serengeti, and you'll get more chances to do so on your return to the park.

The day that awaits you in Ngorongoro Crater will be filled with wildlife and the sheer wonder of exploring an unusual world as picturesque as any safari park in Africa

Activity Day 7

Your day in and around Ngorongoro Crater could just be one of the most memorable of your whole safari. You’ll explore the crater rim and then drive down onto the crater floor, where the critically endangered black rhinos are the stars of an astonishing wildlife show. You’ll almost certainly see large-tusked elephants, at least one of the Ngorongoro’s four lion prides, and wandering clans of spotted hyenas. It also just happens to be one of Africa’s most beautiful corners, a hidden world where you’ll be surrounded by steep, deep-green crater walls, a salt lake, forests and hippo-filled waterways.
