You've been dreaming of your Tanzanian safari for so long and the day when it begins has finally arrived. We'll greet you, give you a quick rundown on what happens next and answer your questions. Then we'll take you out to discover what this incredible country has to offer.

Arusha is an important part of your northern Tanzanian safari and not just because of its position as a gateway to the safari parks of the country's north. With its dynamic street life and markets, fascinating museums and enticing street food, it's an exciting city that deserves exploring.

This afternoon in Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met by one of our company representatives. They will greet you and get you ready to begin your journey with us.
We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport this afternoon and take you to the next stage of your journey.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Everything seems to be cast on a grander scale in Tarangire National Park, from the giant baobab trees that bring such personality to the park's landscapes to the massive elephants for which the park is famous. Although a popular place to visit for travelers on safari through northern Tanzania, Tarangire rarely feels crowded, and that becomes even more true the further south you go in the park. Other wildlife to look forward to here includes big cats, zebra, hippo, buffalo, wildebeest and more. If you're really lucky, you might spy the park's transient population of African wild dog.

Night Game Drive, Tarangire National Park

You’ll see a very different side of the African bush on a night drive. Away from the city lights, the night sky glitters overhead, while your guide will use a spotlight to pick out the reflective eyes of nocturnal creatures such as leopard, genet, porcupine, bushbaby and owl.

You'll be going on a guided game drive to look for Tarangire's lions, elephants, cheetahs and more. It's one of the best places to go looking for animals in northern Tanzania.

Ndutu

You're in for a fantastic experience when you visit Ndutu. This stunning area lies south of the Serengeti and west of Ngorongoro but it sees very few of the travelers who make their way between the two. It all makes for a quieter, more intimate experience, but it also offers the best of both worlds, because it's a terrific area for seeing big cats (including lions that climb trees) and other wildlife, especially when the great migration passes through. Expect horizons that seem to go on forever and an extraordinary spray of stars in the night sky.

Serengeti National Park

In the Unesco World Heritage–listed Serengeti, you’ll see big cats, very big elephants, giraffes and wildebeest herds, and classic Africa scenery that seems to go on forever.

We'll take you to your hotel this afternoon.
This afternoon you'll go on a guided game drive through Serengeti National Park. Your guide will help you find so many different animals as you drive around the savannah grassland plains of the Serengeti.
